With Water, You’re Better Safe than Sorry

There are many different options in the world of water filtration. Some people prefer filtering their water through an external water filter, while others opt for fluoride filters to be installed under their sinks. But whatever drinking water system you prefer, it’s important to ensure that your water is the cleanest it can be. There is much debate over which type of filtration system is best for chemicals, germs, or other unwanted contaminants. But again, the important thing is that ultimately you receive clean water.

Contaminated water can come through the tap at any location. It doesn’t matter which state you live in or the neighborhood where you reside. There’s no guarantee that your water is going to be clean. It’s a classic case of being better safe than sorry. Even if you feel like your water is clean, there’s no harm running it through a filter first. Some people have recently become concerned about the removal of fluoride and other beneficial minerals with water filtration, and if this is the case with you, just make sure your toothpaste is infused with fluoride.

water filter

Water is often a carrier of unsafe elements that can harm our bodies.  So it is vital that we take all necessary precautions to ensure our safety.  The use of water filters can greatly minimize the risk of getting contaminants into our bodies.  Water filters work in such a way that they sieve out the toxins while letting the beneficial minerals through. They also help make the water taste better.

Here are some advantages of using water filters at home:

1. Clean water helps detoxify your body from harmful toxins.
2. Water filters help minimize allergy attacks
3. Drinking clean water can even help with weight loss
4. Some models even help fight respiratory illnesses

If Your Health Is Your Number One Priority You’ll Filter Your Water

Thursday, February 05, 2009

water filtration systemPure water is known to be beneficial to a person’s health and well-being.  If the water source in your home is a well, then some form of water filtration system should be used.  Many contaminants found in untreated water can potentially harm you.  Chemicals that are not necessarily considered harmful can still stain your teeth or cause your water to taste and smell horrible.  So if you suspect that your water is possibly contaminated, it would be wise to install a water filtration system in your home.

Some reasons to use a filtration system:

1. If your water’s odor and taste is unpleasant
2. If your water is considered “hard” or cannot clean easily
3. If your water source is a well or a municipal water facility
4. If there is a high level of chlorine found in your water
5. If your house and plumbing system is old

These Minerals Made Me Feel Great!

vitalizer mineral cube

I have always liked filtered water better than tap water. But for me it was all about the taste. I had no idea that purified water was so much better for my health. This last year I added something new to my water purifying filter. I used a vitalizer mineral cube.

The mineral cube releases alkaline minerals like potassium, silver and magnesium into the water. I noticed that about a week after I started drinking the water I felt more energized than I had in a long time. I did some research and I learned that the mineral cube would also assist my body in its elimination of metabolic waste in addition to hydrating all the cells in my body.

Breath Air & Drink It?

oxygenated water in bodySome scientific studies have found that increasing the amount of oxygen in the body alkalizes the it and creates an environment where disease cannot exist. A good way to get oxygen into the body is through water. Past tests have shown that consuming oxygenated water increased the level of the oxygen in the blood. When the blood supply has more oxygen diseases have trouble growing.

Neither cancer cells nor deadly viruses or bacteria can survive in an oxygen-rich environment. People who have tried drinking ordinary tap water and then tried oxygenated water say that they feel a huge difference. Energy levels, alertness and well being are all reported to have been positively affected by drinking oxygenated water.

How Much Water is the Right Amount?

Friday, September 19, 2008
pure drinking water

For years, the adage was to drink eight glasses of water a day. But reports have fluctuated on that number. Some sources have said more, while others remain adamant that it’s less. The real answer? Listen to your body, and you’ll know. If you do not experience thirst throughout the day, you are most likely well hydrated.

There are some guidelines to follow, however. To stay fully hydrated, there is some consensus that a female needs about 2.7 liters of fluid. On average, food covers 20% of that number, leaving about 2.2 liters of liquid to be consumed in a day.

Factors such as hot weather, exercise, or high altitude all increase the amount of water needed in a day.

With the proper amount of liquid, you are much more likely to stay healthy. To increase your health benefits even further, make the majority of your fluid intake pure drinking water. Caffeinated liquids have the ability to increase your fluid output, meaning you will need even more liquid in a day.

Life Changing Water Facts

water

Some people still think that tap water is sufficient to drink, however they would be interested to find out that city tap water is not Pure drinking water.  While the city does a great job in delivering water to its many residents,  if you read your city “Water Quality Report” it would shock you to find out what comes out of your faucet.  The report would start out like this…”All drinking water, including bottled water may reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants.” and then it would go onto list such things like, viruses, bacteria, livestock, wildlife, and human feces and pharmaceuticals from sewage treatment plants, oil, gas, pesticides, herbicides and arsenic just to name a few.  To combat these contaminants the city then treats the water with chemicals such as Chlorine and Fluoride which have been proven in itself to have a number of negative health effects on humans such as shutting down the thyroid gland thus creating “Hypothyroidism” which is on the rise.  The city goes on to say “the presence of contaminants does not necessarily indicate that the water poses a health risk” and then promptly gives a warning that “people with weakened immune systems, the elderly and infants can be particularly at risk from infection if they consume this water”.  It also states that the treatments made to our tap water is toxic to fish.  I know this to be true as I recently had several beautiful fish die after placing them in tap water for just a short while.  (What was I thinking)? It is ultimately up to you and me to  make our water pure and healthy again. Unless you have some kind of an in-house filtration system it is not fit to consume, let alone bathe in as our skin works like a sponge soaking up water and chemicals alike.  It is easy to take water for granted but when we really stop to think about it, water quality is detrimental to our health.
